Coloplast, the medical devices company based in Peterborough, has expanded its team with the appointment of Michelle Bailey as learning and development manager.

Michelle has more than17 years of experience in training and development roles which have encompassed responsibilities for systems training, sales training for new hires and product or platform launches, as well as delivering face-to-face workshops on soft skills, leadership and management skills.

Her new role at Coloplast will focus on the design and delivery of various learning activities for the business including the redesign of the induction programme for the company's Chronic Care division.

She says: “I am delighted to join Coloplast at this very exciting time of growth and to have the opportunity to evaluate and develop our new on-boarding programme. The redesign will focus on blended learning activities to ensure that our new hires leave the induction programme with an in-depth knowledge of our products and service offering.

"The other part of my role at Coloplast encompasses supporting and developing employees by working with them to develop their career and learning plans.”

HR director Sam Sedwill added: “We welcome Michelle’s experience and are already benefiting from having her knowledge within the human resources team. This new role takes our commitment to learning and development opportunities for all of our staff a step further.”
