PerfectForms and ColumbiaSoft announce new agreement that connects electronic forms technology with advanced forms processing in Document Locator.

The combination of two technologies at the center of modern business automation - electronic forms and document management, has led PerfectForms and ColumbiaSoft to announce a new agreement that will help customers quickly deploy electronic forms and carry out advanced processing of form submissions.

Companies are increasingly turning to electronic forms over paper-based forms because electronic forms take less time to process and result in fewer errors. Form data is captured directly from individuals who enter information into the forms. This eliminates a step in processing since there is no need to manually enter data submitted on paper, saving time and reducing the possibility of data-entry errors or lost paper files.

With a connection to document management, information received via electronic forms can be automatically captured as a permanent record and converted to a PDF file. The information can be searched, placed into document workflows, managed according records policies for security and compliance, and more.
