Following a competitive tender process, launched in April 2014 by the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) on behalf of the Danish Air Force, DALO have issued a contract to acquire the Swedish operations and training management system Wing from the technology consultancy company Combitech, part of the defence and security group Saab AB.

The contract covers more than 400 user licenses, training and professional services to support the implementation of Wing in all Air Force units.

“The choice of Wing is in my opinion further evidence that Wing is the leading planning tool in the military flight operations and training management market", says Magnus Johansson, Head of ATM Services at Combitech AB.

Wing has a modern architecture that can be easily integrated into the customer's IT infrastructure, with connections to Exchange, SAP, ATS units, etc. Wing is also very user friendly, allowing the organization to focus on the mission rather than wasting time on administration. The intuitive user interface facilitates smooth implementation and enables information sharing throughout the organization, ensuring that all relevant planning data will be available when needed. One example that illustrates the versatility of the system is that Wing will also be used to manage readiness and training for the Expeditionary Air Staff (EAS).

Wing is used, among others, by the Swedish Air Force, air operators and flight training schools.
