CharIN Conference & Testival EUROPE in Valencia, Spain, CharIN largest interoperability testing event for EV charging, shapes the future of electric mobility
In a dynamic showcase of innovation and collaboration, the CharIN EUROPE Conference and Testival held from October 24-27, 2023, hosted by Power Electronics in Valencia, Spain, set a new benchmark in the realm of electric mobility. In total more than 415 international testers, conference participants, and testival observers gathered in person at Valencia in Spain, to exchange knowledge, discussing the future and the present of e-mobility and test interoperability between vehicles of all kinds and a variety of charging stations.
CharIN Chairman Claas Bracklo stated: "It is an immense pleasure to hold the biggest CharIN Testival ever in the rapidly growing Iberian market and especially in sunny Valencia at Power Electronics. With this event, our commitment to the future of e-mobility has reached new heights. We are extremely proud to announce that this CharIN Testival was powered solely by solar energy, a testament to our dedication to sustainability and clean energy in the electrification of transportation."
Through the utilization of Power Electronics' 4MW hybrid facility, which encompasses photovoltaic panels, a solar inverter, and a battery inverter, we successfully achieved a fully sustainable Testival. This remarkable feature was made possible by intelligent discharging the batteries during periods of reduced solar radiation and directly harnessing power from the panels during times of solar exposure.
The CEO of Power Electronics David Salvo, host of the CharIN Testival Europe 2023 in Spain stated: "It has been an honor to host the most important electric mobility event in Europe and to allow attendees to get to know our Campus, as well as to bring Valencia closer to the leading electric vehicle manufacturers, charging infrastructure, and other stakeholders in the electric mobility value chain".
The CharIN EUROPE Conference and Testival was a shining example of unity within the electric mobility community. This event was made possible through the unwavering support and collaboration of Power Electronics and an array of industry partners.
The coming together of this industry community in Spain underscores our shared commitment to a sustainable, cleaner future.
