Componenta increases holding in associated company Thermia Componenta has increased its holding in Thermia AB from 30% to 36% in a share transaction today. The Thermia Group is one of the largest heating specialists in the Nordic countries. It has net sales of about EUR 50 million and has 300 employees. During 2001 the company's operations performed extremely well, above all thanks to strong sales of eco- friendly heat pumps. Thermia's other main owner, the Swedish company Industrifonden AB, also acquired an additional 6% of the shares of Thermia. The seller in both cases was the Gustafsson family. The Thermia Group was formed in 1998 when Högfors Lämpö Oy, which belonged to the Componenta Group, was merged with the Swedish Thermia AB. Thermia's main products are heat pumps for producing heat and hot water, central heating boilers and hot water accumulators. Most of the group's products are supplied to private homes in the Nordic countries, although heat pumps are also sold in Central Europe. Thermia's production plants are located at Arvika in Sweden and at Saarijärvi in Finland.
