Componenta issues a preferred capital note The Board of Directors of Componenta Corporation has decided to issue a new preferred capital note. 99.4 per cent of the holders of Componenta Finance Corporation's 1997 preferred capital notes have accepted the offer to exchange their preferred capital notes by the end of the offer period. The principal of the preferred capital note is EUR 25,101,000 and the loan period is 15 February 2002 - 19 March 2009. Annual interest will be paid on the loan, at a rate 4% over the 12 month Euribor interest rate. Componenta will repay 10% of the principal annually. The first repayment will be paid on 19 March 2002. The company has also the right to repay the loan in its entirety or in part on the annual interest payment date, subject to the conditions being met for repaying preferred capital notes as stated in the Finnish Companies Act. Any outstanding principal will be repaid on 19 March 2009. After the issue of the new preferred capital note, the total of preferred capital notes in Componenta Corporation is EUR 31,101,000.
