Application period for Componenta’s International Trainee Program to start

Componenta’s International Trainee Program will start for the third time. An application period starts today and will run until 5 March. Trainees will be search, for example, for finance, sales, engineering and product development and human resource positions in Componenta’s operations in Turkey, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Italy.

First in the program, the university students who are in the middle of studies are offered a possibility a summer traineeship in their home countries, a part-time job or a final thesis during winter and then an international internship during the second summer in another Componenta country.

“The International Trainee Program has been very popular among university students in each Componenta country. For example, hundreds of students applied for the program in 2010. The previous participants have given positive feedback, especially its international aspect, full support of the mentors, interesting duties and responsibilities as well as professional arrangements,” says Taru Salo, HRD Manager at Componenta. She is responsible for the program.

Trainee selection will be carried out during March and a trainee period will start in May-June, according to a contract.

Some 30 young professionals from the previous programs have been employed in permanent and part-time positions in sales, finance, product development and operations duties at Componenta.

“The trainee program is seen as one of the most important resourcing flows at Componenta. During the program, trainees are gaining experience from different functions of the company before a possible permanent employment. This is important from both parties’, trainees’ and the employer’s point of view,” Salo continues.
