Componenta’s sale of Ulefos shares completed

Componenta’s sale of its shares in Ulefos NV AS (“Ulefos”) has been completed
today, on 28 February 2007. In the transaction, which was signed on 16 February
2007, Componenta sold it 50% holding in Ulefos to Cappelen Holding AS, the
other shareholder of Ulefos. The shares were sold for about EUR 14 million and
Componenta will record a profit of EUR 6.5 million on the sale. 

The sale of Ulefos shares was in line with Componenta’s strategy of divesting
non-core operations. The transaction will strengthen Componenta’s equity ratio,
and gives it greater opportunities for developing the core business. 

Ulefos Group is the leading supplier of manhole covers in the Nordic countries.
Ulefos Group was formed in 1999, when Niemisen Valimo Oy, formerly part of
Componenta Group, was merged with the Norwegian company Ulefos Jernverk KS. The
net sales of Ulefos in 2006 were approx. EUR 38 million and the result after
financial items was EUR 4.2 million.
