Marjo Raitavuo proposed for Componenta Board of Directors

Shareholders representing more than 20% of all the company's voting
rights have announced that they are proposing to the Annual General
Meeting on 10 February 2004 that Marjo Raitavuo (46) be elected as a new
member to the Board of Directors.

Ms. Raitavuo is chairman of the Board of Ensto Oy and chairman of the
Family Business Network Finland.
