New managing director for Componenta's De Globe foundries

New managing director for Componenta's De Globe foundries Marc Omes (39) has been appointed managing director of De Globe, part of Componenta Group, and member of the corporate executive team. Mr. Omes, a Dutchman, will join Componenta on 22 August 2005 and will take up the position of managing director at Globe on 1 October 2005. Mr. Omes will be based in Weert, the Netherlands, and will report to Group President and CEO Heikki Lehtonen. Marc Omes has extensive international experience in sales and business unit management. He comes to Componenta from Wärtsilä, where he has worked since 1994 in several sales and general management positions in South-East Asia and in Central and North America, most recently since 2002 as President Director of PT Wärtsilä Indonesia. Wim Schut, who has served as managing director of De Globe for five years, will take up the position of Technical Director of the Group on 1 October 2005, taking on responsibility for developing foundry technology at Componenta and Globe. He remains a member of the corporate executive team.
