Comsys to help Svealandstrafiken with smart charging for electric buses
The Swedish cleantech company Comsys AB has been selected to deliver a peak-shaving Battery Energy Storage System, or BESS, to Västerås, Sweden as part of a project to develop smart energy management and optimized charging for electric buses.Electric vehicles require high-power charging, but power grids are not always able to deliver the necessary power at certain times. A new BESS solution from Comsys called DES™ (Dynamic Energy Storage) will be used to help evaluate ways to reliably, economically and sustainably meet the challenges posed by the increase in electric vehicles.
