Creative Crowdsourcing Leader Honored for Excellence in Internet Services and E-Commerce Category

CHICAGO, June 21, 2012 – crowdSPRING, the world's #1 marketplace for buyers and sellers of creative services who need custom logo designweb design, company names or other design and writing projects, received TechAmerica's 2012 American Technology Awards for excellence in the “Internet Services & E-Commerce” category on Wednesday, June 14 at a gala dinner in Washington, D.C.  Also known as the "Termans," the award was created in honor of the widely credited father of Silicon Valley Frederick Terman.

TechAmerica, which is the leading voice for the U.S. technology industry worldwide, created the American Technology Award to give recognition and acknowledges products and services that have significantly advanced technology.  A panel of industry experts and technology experts reviewed hundreds of nominations from established and emerging companies and judged entries based on innovation, creativity and proven results. Mike Samson, crowdSPRING co-founder, was there in person to represent the team and accept the Terman award.

“Delivering on innovation and quality is our highest priority and we thank our community of 117,000 designers and writers and 30,000 buyers worldwide for their continued loyalty and creativity,” said Samson.  “This highly respected award validates crowdSPRING’s industry leading service, superior technology and the empowerment of a team that excels at delivering exceptional service.”

crowdSPRING has emerged as a pioneer in creative crowdsourcing, attracting designers and writers from more than 200 countries. Entrepreneurs, businesses small and large, nonprofits and agencies turn to crowdSPRING as their trusted creative community not only because it is the “best of the best” but because it’s the most trusted crowdsourcing marketplace on the planet.

"The quality of nominees for this year's Termans is a clear indication of the vibrancy of the American technology industry and we are thrilled to be able to recognize crowdSPRING for its contribution to the industry and its outstanding achievement," said Jennifer Kerber, president of the TechAmerica Foundation (http://www.techamericafoundation.org/).

In a string of victories, crowdSPRING was recently named as an Official Honoree by the 16th Annual Webby Awards for the content on its business blog (http://blog.crowdspring.com), and was honored as one of the top Internet marketing companies in the WordStream Internet Marketing 150

“crowdSPRING’s continued recognition and momentum is a stellar example of the thriving technology ecosystem in Illinois and throughout the U.S.,” said Ed Longanecker, senior vice president of TechAmerica Foundation. “We congratulate crowdSPRING on their well-deserved recognition and remain committed to supporting the continued growth of our industry.”
