ConNova signs long term contract with Quiero TV in Spain. ConNova has just signed a contract with Quiero TV, the Spanish operator of digital terrestrial TV. The contract is a continuation of the initial order that ConNova received in late 1999. The contract covers Quiero TV's license to use BizManager, ConNova's Customer Care and Billing System, and an on-going agreement covering maintenance, support and new service development. Quiero TV started its commercial operation with BizManager a few weeks ago and customer response has been excellent. Quiero TV is now operating one of the busiest customer service centres for TV in Europe, and uses ConNova's BizManager to handle customer orders and requests, billing and dealer management. "At the end of 1999 Quiero TV chose ConNova's BizManager after a careful selection process between the world's leading suppliers of Customer Care & Billing systems. We are convinced that BizManager offers unique advantages with its flexible and open design. After our very successful commercial launch we expect to introduce new products and services, as the customer base expands and our service concept is further developed. Our contract with ConNova gives us access to a very flexible customer handling system and also secures a long term relationship with ConNova" says Mr. Emilio Puerta, Director of Information Systems at Quiero TV. "Quiero TV has, with its business concept and its profound knowledge of the Spanish market, a splendid opportunity to become one of the most successful TV operators in Europe. Today, only a few weeks after commercial launch, the interest from customers is so strong that Quiero TV is already running one of the biggest customer service centres in Europe. ConNova is proud to add another of Europe's most important TV operators to its list of customers. The contract is also ground breaking for ConNova in that it opens up the market for TV operators in Spanish speaking countries", says Mr. Anders Wisell, ConNova's Vice President Marketing and Sales. Quiero TV Quiero is the Digital Terrestrial Television operator in Spain. Quiero launched their digital television service on the 5th of May, offering subscribers 14 video channels, 5 audio channels and internet access, being the first digital platform in Europe to offer digital television and internet access through one set top box. Quiero holds a strong position in the Spanish direct-to-home market. The owners of Quiero TV are Retevision (one of the leading telecommunications companies in Spain), Media Park, Sofisclave 98, Carlton and several financial companies.
