GOPView™ XR2 includes key new features, such as a metal-safe algorithm

BOSTON, Mass. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden – November 16, 2006 – ContextVision, software imaging partner to the most recognized medical imaging manufacturers worldwide, announced today the release of GOPView™ XR2, a next generation image enhancement system for digital X-ray. GOPView XR2 relies on sophisticated adaptive technology for noise suppression, edge and contrast enhancement, and effective dynamic range compression.

GOPView XR2 builds upon the success and strengths of GOPView XR. One of its key new features is an advanced algorithm that enables greater clarity in areas with metal implants. GOPView XR2 is a device-independent technology to deliver better fine structure depiction, less noise and increased artefact reduction. This together with ultra speed and a new adaptive filtering for more consistent image quality enables optimal performance.

“The feedback from users indicated that original GOPView XR exceeds expectations from an image perspective, yet we believed that improvements were possible,” said Jan Erik Hedborg, President and CEO of ContextVision. “We designed GOPView XR2’s metal-safe algorithm to eliminate the errors often associated with images of areas with metal implants. In addition, we kept dose reduction potential in mind as with our recently announced low-dose CT product, SharpView® CT.”
