Coor Service Management signs agreement with Stora Enso, Ala sawmill in Ljusne, Sweden

Coor Service Management has signed a five-year agreement with Stora Enso, Ala sawmill. The agreement entails outsourcing the sawmill’s maintenance operations to Coor, who will be delivering production maintenance to Ala.

The Stora Enso group is a leading operator in the field of milled and processed products. The group has two sawmills in Sweden, Ala and Gruvön. The agreement with Coor relates to Ala sawmill and entails the transfer of 15 members of staff from Stora Enso to Coor Service Management. The agreement is worth a total of approximately SEK 150 m over the contract period.

“We’re really proud and pleased to have beaten the competition to take over and deliver production maintenance to Ala sawmill,” commented Roger Hydén, Regional Manager, Coor Industrial Services. This is entirely in line with our strategic focus on expanding in maintenance services in central Sweden.

The agreement means Coor assumes overall responsibility for delivering the sawmill’s mechanical and electronic maintenance for production equipment. The agreement includes a guaranteed cost reduction and the objective of improving equipment accessibility over time. The measures aim to enhance the sawmill’s competitiveness.
