Barbara Scheel Agersnap becomes Deputy CEO of Copenhagen Malmö Port

The Board of Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) has decided to appoint Barbara Scheel Agersnap to the position of Deputy CEO of the company. Barbara Scheel Agersnap comes from a position as Executive Director at Innovation Centre Denmark in Shanghai, China. She will take up her new position on 1 June 2015.

“The recruitment of Barbara Scheel Agersnap brings extensive experience of international trade to CMP. In particular, her experiences from China will be extremely useful in the development of CMP’s business,” says Johan Röstin, CEO at Copenhagen Malmö Port, adding:

“We’re very proud that Barbara Scheel Agersnap accepted the position as Deputy CEO at CMP, and we look forward to working with her.”

In her work as Executive Director at Innovation Centre Denmark in Shanghai, part of the Danish Export Council, Barbara Scheel Agersnap has overarching responsibility for creating the best possible platform for Danish companies, science and technology to grow in China. 

Barbara Scheel Agersnap has a wealth of experience from areas including shipping, consultancy and private equity, which has provided her with both operational and strategic competences.

Barbara Scheel Agersnap has an MBA from IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland), is a Danish citizen and has worked in countries including France and China. Since February 2012, Barbara Scheel Agersnap has been living in Shanghai with her family. In connection with her taking up the position of Deputy CEO at CMP, she and her family will be moving to the Öresund region.
