Wilson Vale shortlisted for a Catey Award
Andrew Wilson and Carolyne Vale, co-founders of Ashby-based catering company, Wilson Vale, have been jointly shortlisted under the Foodservice Caterer category of the Catey Awards 2014.
Widely regarded as the hospitality industry’s answer to the Oscars, the Cateys recognise the sector’s highest flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands, as determined by those best placed to decide - 140 industry judges.
The ultimate winners remain a closely guarded secret until they are announced at an awards event on 1 July at London’s Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel.
Andrew Wilson, co-founder and managing director of Wilson Vale, said:”This is an astonishingly nice piece of unexpected news to receive and both Carolyne and I are really honoured to be shortlisted, especially considering the breadth of talent and skills within our industry.”
Andrew Wilson and Carolyne Vale established Wilson Vale in 2002 on £50K capital and a ‘laptop and a pencil’ above their garage in Derbyshire in 2002. The company now has an annual turnover of £19.5 million, employs 550 people and has a growing portfolio of clients, mainly within business & industry, private education and the conference sectors.
