Sniff ’n’ The Tears has recently seen a massive renewed interest in their big late 70’s hit “Driver’s Seat”. Fuelled by continued airplay and many cross-Atlantic placements in major film & TV-series and social media virality, this timeless and instantly recognizable classic keeps on finding new fans. With the band just having played at UK's Glastonbury Festival, next up is the newly recorded Hastings Acoustic Session - including, of course - Driver’s Seat.

Great fun for me and Les to meet up with Noel McCalla in Hastings to do some live recordings. Noel, a great singer in his own right, was one of the backing vocalists on Driver’s Seat and many other songs of mine over the years - Paul Roberts

Sniff 'n' the Tears was formed through the partnership of Luigi Salvoni and Paul in 1978. Lou and some of his band, Moon, had played on some demos for Paul a year or so earlier. They took these demos to Ted Carroll at Chiswick Records and were given the go ahead to make an album. The album was Fickle Heart, and the first single Driver's Seat. Driver's Seat became a critical and commercial success around the world, reaching fifteen on the Billboard chart in the USA in 1979.
