Grand Marshal Gina Gershon and Special Guests Brian Dietzen & Diona Reasonover (“NCIS”) Help Bring the Joy of PLAY to Children of ALL Abilities Through Social Inclusion

Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration Celebrates its 22nd Annual Run, Walk & Roll on Sunday morning, September 22nd, from 7:00-11:00am. This fun-filled community event welcomes families and children of ALL abilities as they lead teams on a Run, Walk & Roll to raise funds and awareness on behalf of children with disabilities. Participants will enjoy live music, performances, resource booths and complimentary refreshments while having a blast playing at Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration’s first-ever fully inclusive playground in Griffith Park.

Actress, singer and author Gina Gershon will serve as the event’s Grand Marshal, and will be joined by special guests Brian Dietzen and Diona Reasonover ("NCIS"). Past Grand Marshals have included Kaley Cuoco, Dakota and Elle Fanning, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette,  Jerry O’Connell, and Emma Roberts, to name just a few.

Shane’s Inspiration Co-Founder and “NCIS” Executive Producer Scott Williams will emcee the festivities. Music will be provided by KROQ-FM, and dance troupes from Down for Dance and Versa-Style Dance Company will provide entertainment during the closing ceremony.

Bankshot Basketball is an all-new sport that was invented by Rabbi Reeve Brenner so children of ALL ages and abilities could play a non-exclusionary, non-competitive game of basketball together. The beauty of this particular sport is that it encourages participants to play alongside each other rather than against each other while emphasizing intelligence, practice, and coordination. This Bankshot Basketball project was inspired by a shared love of basketball between Hux Schupfer and his friend, Zach Harrell, who was born with a disability. Hux embarked on this social inclusion project for his Bar Mitzvah, and has been involved in every step of the project from the planning and designing to the building and programming. He has partnered with Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration to create the first fully-inclusive Bankshot Basketball Court in Los Angeles.
