Shane’s Inspiration Host 5th Annual Golf Challenge on May 7th at MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles

May 2, 2018 -- Los Angeles, CA – Shane’s Inspiration, the global leader in creating inclusive playgrounds and educational programs for children with disabilities, is hosting its 5th Annual golf tournament on Monday, May 7th at MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles. Shane’s Inspiration Ambassadors, “NCIS” star Brian Dietzen and X-Factor’s Emmanuel Kelly (the world’s first differently-abled pop star), will be spearheading a full day of activities sponsored by SoCal Luxury Real Estate.
“Swing for Shane’s” will feature a shot-gun start with Brian Dietzen, 18 holes of golf, silent auction, and much more. All participating golfers will receive a pair of GO GOLF Elite V.3 shoes generously donated by Skechers. Funds raised from the Golf Challenge will directly support the costs associated with Shane’s Inspiration’s educational programs that teach compassion and acceptance towards people with disabilities.

Shane’s Inspiration came to life in 1998 when Hollywood producer Scott Williams, ("NCIS"), his wife Catherine Curry-Williams, and their close friend CEO Tiffany Harris, wanted to memorialize the tragic loss of the Williams' infant son. Realizing that Shane’s disability would have prevented him from playing on a typical playground with other children, the trio decided to create the first fully inclusive playground in the western United States as a tribute to Shane. Since opening their first universally accessible playground in Griffith Park 20 years ago, the Los Angeles based international nonprofit has grown into a global movement with nearly 70 inclusive playgrounds worldwide, and over 50 additional projects currently in development.
