For immediate release 12th November 2009 Help with Christmas shopping- Free eBay seminar. Need extra money for Christmas shopping? Looking for a bargain purchase to make your money go further? Need an unusual present? eBay, the world famous on-line auction site could be the answer. It is the most popular shopping site on the net and therefore a good place to buy or sell items for the festive period. In fact eBay has emerged as the most popular online retailer over the Christmas period (according to figures from Nielsen Online). The site is the place to buy or sell almost anything. The first item sold on eBay (then AuctionWeb) was a broken laser pointer that sold for $14, which was more then the cost of a new one at the time. Since then all sorts of items have been up for sale, including a 100-year-old Kentucky jail! eBay has a global customer base of 233 million and in the UK 40.62% of active internet users visit the site at least once a month. eBay is a great resource but not everyone knows how to go about using it. Chris Stanbury from Cravenplan Computers Ltd is offering a free seminar on the subject which will help the eBay novice. The course is called ‘eBay for fun and profit’ and is being held in Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire, on 3rd December. The seminar covers what eBay is, how to use it effectively (whether buying or selling), and importantly how to protect yourself.
