Chichester and the UK’s leading fine jewellery company CRED is opening its doors for a triple celebration on the 9 May 2009 for; World Fair Trade Day, the launch of their new fair trade gold and platinum wedding collection and the chance to view their new interior boutique design.

The evening event starting at 6pm on the 9 May and will be open to everyone interested in hearing the amazing story of fair trade gold. English sparkling wine will be accompanied by a presentation on the fair trade jewellery story by their founder Greg Valerio.

With over 3000 certified fairtrade products available to the UK consumer, CRED has been at the forefront of making fairtrade gold a real consumer choice. All the gold in their boutique comes from small-scale mining coops who do not use mercury or cyanide in the extraction of the gold and deliver a comprehensive reforestation programme alongside the mining work. The jewellery buying public really can invest into the wellbeing of the planet as well as looking gorgeous.

CRED Jewellery was established in 1996 by the human rights and anti poverty campaigner Greg Valerio. CRED was the first UK jeweller to introduce transparency into the sourcing of raw materials and has pioneered the development, delivery and market for fair trade fine jewellery to the world.
