The promotional campaigns we conducted this year have positioned our country as a high-quality, safe and well-prepared destination. That we were very successful in this was confirmed by the European Travel Commission (ETC), which highlighted that the Croatian National Tourist Board was the most active European tourist organization on the portal and social networks Visit Europe during its autumn campaign, and as such, a great example to tourist organizations in other countries. Through to the end of this year, we expect the realization of additional tourist traffic, Croatian destinations have prepared an interesting Advent offer that we will highlight as part of this winter campaign.
Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić
Tourist results so far reflect almost 73 million overnight stays so far, which confirms that the tourist season in Croatia is very successful. Also, the current data shows that the season in Croatia is still in progress, with about 550 thousand tourists currently staying in the country, while in the record-breaking 2019 there were about 470,000 tourists in the country within the same period.  We do not expect that the new map will significantly affect tourist flows in the country, especially if we know that certain source markets important to us, such as Germany, France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the USA, etc., have their own system of monitoring and publishing recommendations for travel, and according to those, Croatia is still a safe destination. However, I hereby appeal that we all continue to adhere to the prescribed epidemiological measures and to get vaccinated in order to achieve the best possible tourist results by the end of September and in October
Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board
A favorable epidemiological situation is a precondition for quality staging of social and economic events. At this moment, there are still more than half a million tourists in Croatia, which is more than in the same period in 2019, and this should be an incentive and a reminder to all that with responsible behavior, tourism can still achieve excellent results. I invite everyone to continue to adhere to epidemiological recommendations and to get vaccinated, in order to protect themselves and everyone living in Croatia
Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports
Testament Winery is Croatia's first Swedish winery. Our goal is to create the best wine in Croatia. It is so inspiring to see how the Swedish people have taken the very local Croatian grape babić to their hearts through the wine The Dalmatian Dog

This year's trends showed that safety and quality were crucial factors in choosing a destination. We aim is to create sustainable tourism with its focus on the quality and on guests eager to consume as many amenities as possible in their destinations and thus generate higher spending, which can encourage new investments in the tourist sector

Croatia is among the first to start vaccinating tourism workers and this is extremely important for us – not only to protect our people in this critical sector, but also to strengthen our position as a safe destination. In addition to the Safe Stay in Croatia program, this is an additional guarantee to tourists that Croatia meets all the prerequisites for a safe holiday for every guest who chooses our country as their destination. Croatia would start vaccinating its tourism workers in May, and that testing locations would be set up in resorts so that tourists could get tested upon arriving in Croatia and before returning home
Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Nikolina Brnjac.
