House of Borel Premiers at New York Fashion Week
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – February 19, 2015 – House of Borel, a new San Francisco-based luxury fashion house, has premiered their line of bags at New York Fashion Week as a part of Michael Costello’s runway show on February 17, 2015 in The Salon at Lincoln Center.
House of Borel’s exotic-skin bags in red, turquoise, yellow and white stood out amongst Costello’s all-black and gray collection and made quite an impression. The show attracted crowds significantly larger than that of last season’s show –Chris Brown and other celebrities attended.
House of Borel showed a variety of styles, from clutches to handbags – all handmade in Italy – made from crocodile, anaconda, and ostrich casing. The label decided not to show their shoes alongside the bags: “We take pride in each piece and if we aren’t completely happy, we pull it,” Says Founder Claire Borel.
The line of bags and shoes, fully completed and with personal approval by Ms. Borel, will be available online after the brand’s launch on March 6, 2015.
The lifestyle brand was created by Claire Borel and her team in 2014. Focusing on unique, high quality pieces, the line creates a fully-rounded wardrobe perfect for travel. The accessories’ signature is turquoise, which appears in the lining of several bags. Borel describes her line as understatedly elegant.
