JAKE Partners with Blake Patterson, Just in Time for Flagship Showroom Opening
San Francisco, California – March 1, 2016 – JAKE, San Francisco-based fashion brand by Jake Wall, has announced that a second Project Runway Season 14 cast member, Blake Patterson, will be joining the brand as a designer focusing on expanding the brand’s already impressive womenswear offering. Their collaboration, JAKE + Blake, comes just in time for the brand-new JAKE Flagship Atelier + Showroom, officially opening in San Francisco on March 3.
Wall and Patterson, both cast members of Season 14 of Project Runway, formed a connection while on the reality show. Creative directors of their own brands, JAKE and Blake Morris Collection, respectively, the pair have been informally working together since leaving Project Runway. The official collaboration, JAKE + Blake, will focus on cocktail dressing and chic womenswear looks.
“Despite appearances, our work is deeply complementary: while Blake creates ethereal statement pieces and JAKE’s focus has traditionally been on structured classics, the joint true core of our work has always been in helping clients embrace elegance that’s refined yet thrilling,” said Jake Wall. “Working together has already been terrifically fruitful, and we’re excited to explore what’s to come.”
“Jake and I creatively feed off of each other –our womenswear ranging from the casual chic to cocktail and gowns take cues from our individual design aesthetics but come together to form something way more – something bold, brilliant, and rooted in the bespoke tradition,” continues Patterson.
This announcement comes days before the grand opening of the new JAKE Flagship Atelier + Showroom. Set to open in the Historic Jackson Square district of San Francisco on March 3, 2016, the space has been designed by the JAKE team to create a snapshot of the life fully lived – a life by JAKE. A custom wine bar hosted by Jean-Charles Boisset and Raymond Vineyards, exclusive jewelry offerings from CAKE curated by JAKE, and vintage collector timepieces curated exclusively for JAKE in collaboration with ICON Timepieces are among the features included to fulfill Wall’s vision. Once open, the flagship will act as a showroom, design studio, event space, and store – including full tailored clothing offerings.
