Savitude Launching at the Watermark Conference on April 21
San Francisco, California – April 19, 2016 – Savitude, a new app and shopping website for the professional woman, will be officially announcing at the Watermark Conference for Women on April 21. Upon launch, the app will provide users with a tailored selection of clothing silhouettes and a personally curated shopping boutique based on body shape algorithms.
Focused on inclusion and diversity, Savitude aims to help women discover a personal style for their workwear. With an interactive style map, expanding store, and additional content and educational tools, Savitude is building a global community for women to share their viewpoints on dressing for work around the world.
“Dressing for work has become its own beast due to the current swing of fashion,” Says founder Camilla Olson. “The fashion industry considers the career market too pedestrian to design for, so women are left deciding between overly sexy styles and drab options. We’re stepping in to bridge that gap through curated shops and rich content that will grow and develop as people interact with the app.”
“It’s all about providing the tools, but letting members create their own work wardrobes in their own vision,” continues co-founder Beth Blecherman. “Essentially, Savitude is a collaboration between us and our members.”
Savitude will be providing previews of the app and website at the upcoming Watermark Conference, in addition to showing samples of clothing that could be included in the store. As the start-up builds their community of professional women around the world, a more robust machine learning system will be implemented, adding factors like geography, career aspiration, and social data to provide even more tailored and personalized selections in each user’s curated boutique.
