Spectacular 2014 Program for The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 20, 2014 – The 2014 San Francisco Fall Antiques Show (SFFAS) will glow from Thursday, October 23 through Sunday, October 26, at Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion with its 2014 theme: The Rush of Gold: Precious Metals in Art & Antiques. The Show features over sixty dealers from around the world, offering an extraordinary range of fine and decorative arts representing all styles and periods including American, English, Continental, and Asian furniture and decorative objects, paintings, prints, photographs and books, gold, silver and precious metals, jewelry, rugs, textiles and ceramics. Diane Wilsey will serve as the 2014 Honorary Chair.

The show launches with a Preview Gala on Wednesday, October 22nd, as always, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Enterprise for High School Students, the San Francisco non-profit that engages and empowers Bay Area high school students to develop skills for their future through job readiness training, employment, and career exploration. Greeting guests will be Connoisseurs Circle Chair, Michele Goss, who chaired the show for 10 years, and Adrianna Pope Sullivan, the current show committee chair. On Thursday, October 23, the show opens for its four day run.

In the tradition of past years, the Fall Antiques Show is thrilled to be working with a renowned architecture firm on the Grand Entry Hall display. This year, the New York and San Francisco-based Ike Kligerman Barkley will be creating a larger-than-life spectacle that ties into the 2014 theme in an artistic and playful manner. “Our display pays homage to the Bay Area’s digital culture,” says Thomas A. Kligerman, who leads the project. “We’re hoping our immersive take on ‘the Rush of Gold’ will pleasantly surprise the Fall Antiques Show crowd.”
