Luxury Activewear retailer opens pop-up on bustling Union Street

San Francisco, CA – March 9, 2016 – The Sweatbar, the highly-curated online activewear boutique based in San Francisco, is opening a new pop-up store in the city’s Marina neighborhood, following the success of their Palo Alto pop-up last year.  Like its online parent, the new store focuses on activewear that is both fashionable and functional.

Founder Cheryl Baxter launched The Sweatbar to fill the need for an activewear wardrobe that can go beyond the gym.  The Sweatbar offers a carefully selected roster of chic, high-quality brands including Koral, Michi, Solow, Vimmia, L’Etoile and many more, which will be represented in the Pop-Up Shop.  The store’s specialized clothing is ideal for a wide range of sports, including golf, tennis, surfing, and dance, as well as general gym and leisurewear.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be opening a pop-up in San Francisco,” Says Baxter. “Athleisure is a major trend, especially in this city and I can’t wait to show the range of pieces available at The Sweatbar to San Francisco’s shoppers!”

The Sweatbar Pop-up’s focus on unique and stylish pieces sets it apart from mainstream activewear retailers. The selection leans toward bright colors, bold patterns and edgy details like mesh panels and zippers. Athleisure is one of 2016’s biggest trends and the Sweatbar pop-up is bringing the trend to the Marina district.

The Sweatbar Pop-Up is located at 1895 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94123. It is open through April 15th daily 11 am to 6 pm. The Sweatbar will be celebrating with an opening party on March 15th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Guests can RSVP at rsvp@crossmarketingpr.com.
