New Director to spearhead Reconomy’s growth
Waste management and recycling contractor Reconomy is marking its intentions for continued growth with the board level appointment of Matt Nichols as Sales Director.
With a successful track record in business development, sales and general management ranging from Electrical Wholesalers Newey & Eyre, UK FTSE 100 company Wolseley and more recently Wilts Electrical Wholesale, Matt brings a wealth of business experience serving the construction, health, education and local authority sectors.
The appointment follows a number of prestigious contract wins for the Shropshire based firm having recently announced agreements with one of the UK’s leading construction companies Balfour Beatty, infrastructure giant Enterprise and renowned charity National Trust.
Paul Cox, Managing Director of Reconomy said, “Reconomy has enjoyed continuous growth over recent years and has further ambitions to double turnover to £80m by 2016.
“Matt’s experience and ambition match that of Reconomy and I am confident that with a strengthened management team we shall continue to lead the UK market in sustainability management, waste handling and recycling services.”
Speaking of his appointment, Matt Nichols said: “I’m delighted to be joining Reconomy at such an exciting stage of the company’s development. There’s a vastly experienced and successful management team in place and the intention is that by adding my experience and skills to the mix we will capitalise on the company’s inherent strengths and maximise the opportunities that are undoubtedly out there in the market.
“Making full use of our market-leading position, our growth strategy will include further expansion of our market share in all aspects of the construction sector in addition to developing our business in the commercial and industrial sectors. These are exciting times and I’m looking forward to the challenge .”
