Christmas Call: communications to help caterers cash in on Christmas

CST says its CustomerCall plus WaiterCall package will generate extra profits for restaurateurs

PLUS: special Christmas BOGOF: buy one pager get one free!

In a tough economy, the extra business that Christmas and New Year bring is more important than ever. But, says CST, it shouldn’t just be about coping with the pressure, it should be about cashing in on the opportunity, so it’s vital that everyone is working effectively to serve more customers and generate more profit.

Call Systems Technology (CST), the UK’s leading supplier of communications products for the hospitality market, has launched Christmas Call, a package of two of its most popular communications systems, CustomerCall and WaiterCall. Together they deliver a simple, effective and low-cost way to improve restaurant efficiency, instantly and easily: they manage queues; seat customers speedily; get food from kitchen to table quickly, in top condition; and help restaurants turn more tables. As well as enhancing the customer experience Christmas Call will help restaurants maximise profits – not just at Christmas, but throughout the year.

To make Christmas Call truly festive, CST is making a seasonal BOGOF offer to buyers: for every pager bought for a system, the company will give an extra one free.

CustomerCall is designed to manage the restaurant queue. Customers are given a pager when they arrive. As soon as their table is ready, staff send them a message to return to be seated. Meanwhile customers can relax in the bar, rather than waiting in line. Tables are turned more efficiently, staff don’t waste time searching for customers and the restaurant entrance is clear of queues, because the people who would have been waiting there are in the bar, spending money. Most CustomerCall systems are sold with around 30 pagers, though the transmitter can handle up to 999.

WaiterCall speeds up customer service and improves food quality. It consists of small pagers worn by waiting staff and a transmitter sited in the kitchen or pass area. When an order is ready waiters are paged so they can return to collect the food and serve it immediately, in perfect condition to the diner. It enables waiters to spend more time with customers, rather than hanging around the kitchen. WaiterCall can accommodate up to 24 pagers.

The Christmas Call package, comprising CustomerCall and WaiterCall, can deliver a return on investment, through increased business and efficiency, within a few weeks, especially during the festive season and even more so with CST’s special offer. CST’s Call products are wireless, so they are quick and unobtrusive to install. They are easy to operate, with little or no staff training required, and running costs are minimal.
