Push Button app from CST is simple and highly effective
App improves customer service and reduces staff costs
A new app for tablets and smartphones will help hotels and conference and event organisers improve customer service while reducing staffing costs. The Push Button app, from leading communications and technology specialist Call Systems Technology (CST), allows customers to call for assistance at the touch of the phone or tablet screen. It also allows operators to message staff and managers with important updates to keep the venue running smoothly.
The app offers customers a choice of virtual buttons so that they can call for the relevant help. For example, there could be separate buttons for food and beverages, IT technical support, cleaning, management, and any other support functions the venue would like to offer. Touching the appropriate button sends an instant message to the relevant member of staff, by pager or other communications device.
The Push Button app increases staff efficiency because they don’t have to wait to be called for service. Instead, they can get on with other tasks – and respond to customer requests as soon as they are messaged.
The app is fully customisable, allowing the venue to change the appearance of the background and buttons, as well as the number of buttons. A major benefit, especially for larger venues, is that it is a mobile solution – the Push Button app is fully operational so long as the device is on the site’s wifi network.
The Push Button app is part of a suite of apps for the hospitality and event industries, developed in the USA by HME Wireless Inc. and distributed in the UK by CST. The app suite is designed for use with iOS devices. Venues can have multiple apps on the same wifi network, all working through the single HME transmitter, called the iStation.
“Keeping ahead in the hotel and events industries means maintaining the highest possible standards of customer service at all times. Increasingly, businesses are turning to high-tech tools to improve service and attract customers,” says David Barrett, sales manager at CST. “The Push Button app works with all CST pagers for seamless integration with a venue’s current system.”
CST provides a full after-sales package, including remote support. “Because the Push Button app is very simple to use, and the tablet interface is so familiar to customers, it can be installed and up and running pretty much instantly,” says David.
