AIR-BERLIN orders Zonal Drying TM System to entire B737-800 fleet after successful evaluation. Air-Berlin, the German based holiday airline, has after successful evaluation ordered CTT´s Zonal Drying (TM) System to their remaining twenty-six (26) B737-800 aircraft. The evaluation was performed, during the spring of 2002, in one (1) of Air-Berlin´s B737-800 aircraft. First installation is due to start during the autumn of 2002. "It is with great pleasure that we today announce the order from Air- Berlin," comments CTT Systems AB President Mr. Torbjörn Johansson. "We have enjoyed working closely with Air-Berlin´s engineering department during the evaluation and to prove the effectiveness of our Zonal Drying (TM) System.", ends Mr. Johansson. "CTT has proved that with the Zonal Drying (TM) System it is possible to cure condensation problems," comments Air- Berlin´s Technical Director Mr. Siegfried Olivo. "We have experienced everything from wet blankets, corrosion to electrical malfunctions which does not fit in Air-Berlin´s long term objective in offering cost effective and safe operations", ends Mr. Olivo. The Zonal Drying TM System combats condensation in the thermal and acoustic insulation of modern passenger aircraft. It reduces maintenance costs by extending the service life of the airplane insulation. By eliminating accumulated condensation, the system also cuts non-revenue weight which, in turn, leads to significant fuel savings. The Zonal Drying TM System helps reduce corrosion and the risk of electrical faults by maintaining a dry environment between the interior trim panels and the aircraft skin. To date, CTT has the following additional customers for the Zonal Drying TM system: - Martinair for 767-300 and MD11 - Jet Aviation for Executive aircraft's 767-200, 757-200 and Boeing Business Jet - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for MD11 and B767 - Austrian Airlines for MD80 - LTU for Airbus A330 - Raytheon Systems Company regarding NASA/DLR SOFIA-project (Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy) - Swissair for MD11 - Sterling European Airlines for Boeing 737-800 - Hapag-Lloyd for Boeing 737-800 - Icelandair for Boeing 757 - Lufthansa CityLine for CRJ 100/200 - Airbus as option for A330 and A340 - FMV (Swedish Airforce) for C130 (Tp84) Hercules - Adria Airways for CRJ200 - Emirates for A330 - Saudi Arabian Airlines for MD90 - Air Berlin for 737-800 - Tyrolean Airways for CRJ 100/200 - Air 2000 for B757 and A320 and for the Zonal Comfort TM System: - SAS for Boeing 767 - Lufthansa Technik for Boeing Business Jet - Jet Aviation for Boeing 747 SP VIP and Boeing Business Jet aircraft CTT Systems AB is located in Nyköping, Sweden and listed on the O-list of Stockholmsbörsen in Stockholm.
