Nyköping, Sweden, September 16, 2008, – CTT Systems today announced that AIR NEW ZEALAND Limited has placed an order for 42 Zonal Drying™ Systems to be installed in 13 A320, 5 B767, 16 B737 and 8 B777 aircraft. The systems, which eliminate condensation in the aircraft, are scheduled for installation starting November 2008.

“Long before the rising fuel price put the focus on fuel-saving Air New Zealand was already a world leader in refining its flight operations to reduce its environmental impact and fuel burn* as part of this country’s focus on environmental responsibility,” says the airline’s General Manager Airline Operations and Safety, Captain David Morgan. “Once we had proven the range of benefits from this technology to our satisfaction – principally reduced aircraft weight which leads to reduced fuel burn and emissions, along with enhanced insulation and corrosion protection – the decision was obvious and we moved quickly the capture to benefits across four jet aircraft fleets.” continues Captain David Morgan.

“Air New Zealand is one of the most well-known and esteemed airlines in the world and our first airline customer in the Asia Pacific region which makes this order one of the most important for us. It is very pleasing that Air New Zealand has invested in our system based on the fuel saving and the emissions reducing capability of the system, which sends clear signals to the market” comments CTT’s VP Sales & Marketing Ulf Liljenberg on today’s order. “The order is the result of our sales agent’s, Satair, work in the Asia-Pacific area, which is very encouraging” continues Ulf Liljenberg.

By eliminating condensation in the aircraft both operational and maintenance costs will be lowered through:
• lowered fuel consumption (i.e. lower aircraft weight due to elimination of accumulated water),
• improved operational reliability (i.e. less corrective maintenance)
• consistent insulation performance (i.e. water reduces insulation performance),
Further, the aircraft residual value will be protected or even improved due to reduced corrosive impact over the years.

CTT’s Zonal Drying™ System has been selected as basic equipment for the new B787 “Dreamliner” and CTT’s humidifiers are options in crew rest compartments and on flight deck. The A380 offers CTT’s humidifiers as option in crew rest compartments.
