CTT Systems AB wins top international air transport accolade

Nyköping March 27, 2013, – CTT wins top international air transport accolade!

At a glittering Gala Presentation Dinner on March 26th at the five-star Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC, CTT Systems AB was presented with Air Transport World magazine's paramount Aviation Achievement Award for its Zonal Drying™ and Cair™ System, before a 250-strong audience of global air transport and industry leaders.

This hard-won award was unanimously voted for by a panel of independent experts, drawn by ATW from the world's foremost air transportation gurus and respected technical specialists of long standing.

Accepting the award was CTT's President, Torbjörn Johansson and VP Sales & Marketing Peter Landquist.

“It’s an honor for CTT to get this award and be recognized for our development of the Zonal Drying system, our Crew Humidifiers and our Cair system. This award is shared by all our team back in Sweden. 2012 was CTT's 21st birthday and this coveted award is certainly the best 'coming of age' present we could possibly have wished for” says Torbjörn Johansson.

Cair™ is focused on the passengers’ health and comfort by providing humidification of the extremely dry aircraft cabins without causing condensation. Cair™ gives a pleasant relative humidity of around 20%, compared to 3-5% without, for the passengers, thereby reducing dry air related problems (e.g. fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of virus diseases).

The Cair™ system is based on evaporative cooling technology and uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the Zonal Drying™ System to counter condensation problems.

CTT’s Zonal Drying™ System has been selected as basic equipment for the new B787 “Dreamliner” and CTT’s humidifiers are options in crew rest compartments and on the flight deck. The A380 offers CTT’s humidifiers as option in crew rest compartments. CTT will also supply the Zonal Drying™ system and the Cair™ system for the A350 aircraft, as options.
