Nyköping February 3, 2015, CTT SYSTEMS (“CTT”), the market leader of anti-condensation systems for commercial aircraft and the dominating provider of humidification products for cockpit, crew rest and cabin areas, today announces an order of the Zonal Drying System for six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The Zonal Drying anti-condensation system will be installed by Boeing in six new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Hereby the airline prevents that its operational costs significantly increases during operations due to excess weight from accumulation of condensate water. Such weight increases fuel burn and emission. Further, the airline benefits from other savings such as reduced failure rate of electrical components and replacement of blankets.

“This order is a great recognition from an airline valuing the total benefits of our anti-condensation system,” said Peter Landquist, VP Sales & Marketing CTT Systems AB. “Furthermore it is a confirmation of growing airline demand for in-line installation to master the root-cause of moisture problems from the very first day when a new aircraft enter into operations”.

About CTT SYSTEMS

CTT’s Zonal Drying™ System is basic equipment on all Boeing 787 “Dreamliner” aircraft and the humidifiers are standard in all crew rest compartment fitted Dreamliner aircraft and optional for flight deck. The flight deck humidifier is optional on A350XWB, the crew rest compartments humidifiers are optional on both A380/A350XWB and the Zonal Drying™ and Cair™ systems are optional on the A350XWB aircraft.

Zonal Drying™ anti-condensation system reduces fuel consumption (in a retrofit installation it lowers aircraft weight with 200-300kg on a B737-800 due to elimination of accumulated water), improves operational reliability (i.e. less corrective maintenance), enables consistent insulation performance (i.e. water reduces insulation performance) and better preserves the residual aircraft value due to the reduced corrosive impact.

Cair™ is the leading cabin humidification system maintaining the relative humidity above 20% without causing condensation. The cabin air in First Class is normally extremely dry (3-5%). Cair increases passengers wellbeing by reducing dry air related problems (e.g. fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of virus diseases).
