Icelandair orders Zonal Drying™ for retrofit on 16 Boeing 757/767, with Options for additional 16 Boeing MAX aircraft

Nyköping 1 October, 2015, – CTT SYSTEMS (“CTT”), the market leading provider of aircraft moisture control systems, with fuselage anti-condensation and humidifiers for cockpit, crew rests and passenger cabin areas, today announces order from Icelandair on the Zonal Drying™ System for 14 Boeing 757-200 and two Boeing 767-300, with options for additional 16 Boeing MAX 8/9 aircraft.

The retrofit installation will start with the first 757-200 in December 2015.

“At CTT we are pleased to receive this order from one of our first customers on the Zonal Drying™ System. With this order CTT will add another customer having Zonal Drying™ all-fleet-fitted”, says Peter Landquist, Vice President Sales & Marketing of CTT Systems.

The Zonal Drying™ Anti-Condensation System generates the following advantages:

  • Lower fuel burn and CO2/NOX emissions from excess weight reduction of 200-300kg of accumulated condensate water in B737/A320 aircraft;

  • Higher operational reliability from significant lowered moisture related faults in electrical equipment (reduced Out-Of-Service time)

  • Lower attrition of replacing insulation blankets
