Nyköping, Sweden, December 8, 2004, – Icelandair has placed an additional order with CTT Systems for the Zonal Drying™ System to be installed in one Boeing 757-300 aircraft

“This additional order from Icelandair is based on the improved economical and operational benefits received using the Zonal Drying™ System in their operation since October 2002” said Torbjörn Johansson, president, CTT Systems. “Icelandair decided early to combat the root cause of condensation and not select temporary solutions. With our Zonal Drying™ System installed Icelandair will benefit from an increased operational reliability and lowered operational costs. Again it is proven that once an operator have selected and used our Zonal Drying™ System in their operation they decide to make additional orders” continues Torbjörn Johansson. By eliminating condensation in the aircraft both operational and maintenance cost will be lowered through: • lowered fuel consumption (i.e. lower aircraft weight due to elimination of accumulated water), • improved operational reliability (i.e. less corrective maintenance) • consistent insulation performance (i.e. water destroys insulation performance), Further, the aircraft residual value will be protected or even improved due to less corrosive impact over the years. The lowered aircraft weight will reduce the fuel burn, which also has a positive impact on the environment. Also passenger comfort will be improved by elimination of “rain in the plane” and reduction of mould, fungus and bacteria which builds up in wet insulation blankets.
