Jet Aviation order Zonal Drying System from CTT Systems for installation onboard a Boeing Business Jet "BBJ" Executive aircraft. CTT Systems and Jet Aviation, based in Switzerland, have reached an Agreement regarding installation of CTT´s Zonal Drying System in one Boeing Business Jet "BBJ". The BBJ aircraft is based upon the Boeing B737 A/C. Jet Aviation is responsible to design and build the complete interior. The particular A/C will be equipped with a system for active humidification in order to reach, also during cruise an acceptable relative humidity, RH, level of approx. 20-25%. The outcome of this is an increased water condensation in the crown area. Hence Jet Aviation, in order to prevent this condensed water to damage expensive materials used in the interior, realises the importance of the Zonal Drying System. Further benefits with the CTT system is reduced fuel consumption due to weight saving. - I am pleased to announce a further order from Jet Aviation to whom we have been working together on both B757 and B767 Executive aircraft's in the past. The BBJ is competitive in the Executive aircraft segment and many of these aircraft will be equipped with active humidification system, comments CTT Systems President Mr. Torbjörn Johansson from the 1999 Paris Airshow. The CTT Zonal Drying System is designed to combat problems related to water condensation in the thermal and acoustic insulation of modern passenger aircraft. Airlines encountering "rain-in-the-plane" syndrome and other difficulties related to moisture accumulation in their insulation blankets can use the Zonal Drying System to migrate these problems, reduce maintenance costs by increasing the service life of the insulation and realise significant fuel savings by eliminating the non-revenue weight of the accumulated water condensation. By keeping the area dry between the interior trim panels and the aircraft skin, the Zonal Drying System also reduce corrosion and reduce the risk of failure in electronic systems and wiring. CTT have today the following customers for the Zonal Drying System: - Martinair for B767-300 and MD11 - Jet Aviation for Executive aircraft's B767-200, B757-200 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for MD11 and B767 - Austrian Airlines for MD80 - LTU for Airbus A330 - Raytheon Systems Company for NASA/DLR SOFIA-project (Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy) - CTT Systems AB is located in Nyköping, Sweden and is listed on the Stockholm Exchange O-list in Sweden.
