AIR MAURITIUS will enhance cabin comfort on long haul flights with CTT´s humidification technology; the CAIR™ System Cair™ is all about the passengers health and well-being

Nyköping April 29, 2005 - CTT Systems signed a Letter of Intent with Air Mauritius for the CTT Cair™ System to be installed on the existing fleet of five Airbus A340-300 aircraft of Air Mauritius. Each of these aircraft will be equipped with the CTT Systems from mid 2005 and continue through mid 2006. When installed Air Mauritius will be the first airline in the world offering increased humidity in the aircraft cabin which will increase passengers comfort and well-being during flight. Installation of the Cair™ System in the A340 aircraft fits in perfectly with Air Mauritius philosophy of delivering unparalleled comfort and well-being to its passengers – “L’Esprit de Maurice”. “Our “L’Esprit de Maurice” in-flight service brand is an expression of the unique sense of the Mauritian hospitality; we want our passengers to start enjoying the Mauritian atmosphere the moment they step on board. Along with signature dishes and select wines picked by the best sommelier of France, humidified fresh air in the First class and Business cabins brings the concept of ‘wellness in the air’ to yet new heights. Our initiative with CTT Cair Systems turns Air Mauritius into a trend- setter among long-haul carriers and our passengers will have one more reason to justify their choice of flying with us to Mauritius,” says Megh Pillay, CEO of Air Mauritius. “With Cair™, Air Mauritius will offer ground breaking improvement of the cabin comfort to its passengers as the low humidity is one of the major factors in that passengers feel exhausted and tired after a long haul flight. It will be a completely new feeling flying and passengers will sleep better and enjoy the trip much more” says CTT President Torbjörn Johansson, “With all the excellent amenities aboard today, increased humidity will make sure the passengers also gets a nice sense of well-being when flying, which is extremely important in today’s hectic world and we are sure passengers will specifically select Air Mauritius to try this new way of flying” continues Torbjörn Johansson. Recent years have highlighted various problems related to cabin air quality and in particular the very dry air (5% RH) onboard long haul flights. Problems like dry skin, tiredness, jet lag and colds are connected to long haul flying. With Cair™ onboard the humidity level is balanced to around 25% RH to create a pleasant surrounding for the human body. At the same time troublesome condensation is prevented in the aircraft structure. CTT is today the only systems provider capable of offering a total solution for the humidity problems.
