Press Release from the Extraordinary General Meeting of AB Custos, October 9, 2001 Decisions at the General Meeting Redemption offer In accordance with a proposal by the Board of Directors, the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders today approved a redemption proposal. In brief, this offer means that those who are registered shareholders in Custos on October 12, 2001, will receive a redemption right for each Custos share. Four redemption rights will entitle the holder to redemption of one Custos share, with payment consisting of three shares in Perbio Science AB ("Perbio")1). Timetable for the redemption program October 9, 2001 Last day for trading in Custos shares including redemption rights October 10, 2001 Custos shares are traded excluding redemption rights October 12, 2001 Record date for receipt of redemption rights October 22 - November 5, 2001 Trading in redemption rights October 22 - November 8, 2001 Registration period for the redemption offer November 19 - November 28, Trading in redemption shares 2001 November 23, 2001 (prelim) Extraordinary General Meeting of Custos shareholders to approve the redemption of shares etc. December 5, 2001 (prelim) Delivery of Perbio shares 1) Through trading in redemption rights during the period October 22 - November 5, 2001, more than every fourth Custos share held on the record date may be registered for redemption. Election of new Board member Mikael Nachemson, Chief Executive Officer of Custos, was elected a new member of the Board of Directors. Christer Gardell, Custos' former CEO, resigned from the Board. Reduction in the statutory reserve The General Meeting also approved a reduction in Custos' statutory reserve by SEK 414,162,394 for repayment to the shareholders or for allocation to unrestricted equity.
