SMHI (Sweden’s Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) named Cybercom as its future IT service supplier. The parties signed a framework agreement that runs until 30 June 2009. SMHI is Sweden's largest supplier of air traffic weather forecasts.

”The agreement is very significant for our Linköping operation,” says Peter French, business developer at Cybercom. “SMHI is a state agency that can greatly benefit from technological developments, and it demonstrates that it’s operating on the cutting edge, for example, through its use of open source. We sincerely look forward to our partnership.”

The agreement covers consulting services within operations development, strategy, project management, system development, system administration, and infrastructure. Cybercom is one of five selected suppliers. SMHI expects to procure consulting services worth SEK 7-10 million annually.
