Cybercom appoints new country manager

Cybercom is growing on the telecom services market. So it must expand its growth strategy to further steer its Swedish operation toward the telecom market and to focus its expertise in selected technologies. Bengt Levin was appointed manager of Cybercom Sweden.

During 2004, Cybercom fortified its position in telecom, where it continues to grab market shares. Right now, about 70% of its operation serves telecom. So to better meet telecom-market demand for its services, the company is strengthening its Sweden operation. In early 2004, the organisation leaned toward telecom, and during the year, its telecom unit recruited additional 50 employees. “We have a successful business – thanks to our unique position within billing, e-commerce, portals, and embedded systems,” says Levin. “Our services are in demand, and we’re further developing the operation to meet customers’ requirements.” “Business from telecom and from selling, implementing, and using our partners’ technologies created a strong bottom line and a platform for future direction and growth,” says Mats Alders, Cybercom’s CEO. “We have key customers in industry and finance, although our assertive growth strategy and focus on finance did not develop as we had hoped. So we’re concentrating on organic growth in telecom, which we’ll complement with acquisitions inside and outside Sweden.” In line with its strategy, Cybercom’s Financial Service business area will be integrated in the new business division Sweden and will be adapted to its telecom direction.
