Cybercom has a new framework agreement with the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). The agreement covers business development, strategy, systems development, and administration and is valid for two years with an extension option.

“We see SMHI’s renewed confidence in us regarding strategic development of its organisation and systems as an acknowledgement that SMHI is satisfied with the work we’ve done so far,” says Peter French, key account manager for SMHI. “We hope for more interesting new assignments through the framework agreement.”

Cybercom has held a framework agreement with SMHI since 2006. This year, Cybercom assignments included developing an SMHI weather application for the iPhone and Android. The SMHI apps are among Sweden’s most popular, and during the summer they were among the top five most downloaded apps in Sweden. Mobile interaction with customers is increasingly important to companies like SMHI.

The new framework agreement is valued at about SEK 20 million per year and applies to Cybercom and six other consultancies. Cybercom’s agreement covers the areas with the largest volumes, namely business development, strategy, systems development, and administration.

“This framework agreement is important to us,” says Odd Bolin, managing director of Cybercom Sweden. “We have the opportunity to develop cutting edge mobile solutions and help SMHI to develop services that increase their competitiveness.”
