Cybercom in partnership with Red Hat
Cybercom Finland has signed an advanced hosting cooperation contract with Red Hat. The contract aims to develop the quality of maintenance services for Red Hat´s server room customers.
Magnus Svensson, Sales Director, Nordic Region at Red Hat, is very pleased with the contract. “Cybercom is already known for their expertise in Red Hat Linux products, especially in demanding environments. It’s natural that Cybercom is at the forefront to deepen the co-operation in terms of management and virtualisation products, and information security solutions”, says Magnus Svensson.
Red Hat is the world’s leading supplier and developer of open source code solutions with offices around the world. So for Cybercom this contract is an important deal.
“With the help of high technology and the best experts, we maintain several of Finland’s most popular online services. On a weekly basis, the services we maintain are visited by over 3.5 million different users”, says Tony Hendrell, Cybercom´s director of Data Center in Finland.
To unify the management of the server environment, Cybercom has done a lot of development work over the years, around Red Hat’s distributions.
“The contract we’ve now made gives us an even better opportunity for deeper co-operation with Red Hat than before”, says Tony Hendrell.
The contract also includes the Red Hat Satellite Server product, which allows Cybercom to offer centralised management for the server environment, even though the servers would be located somewhere else than in Cybercom’s own server room.
