Cybercom signs agreement with ABF to develop Web portal that's highly accessible to the disabled The Swedish Workers' Educational Association (ABF) signed a one-year frame agreement with Cybercom. The agreement is for IT consulting services that cover project management, system development, and system integration. Through the frame agreement, Cybercom will develop an information portal that will become a new, joint Web platform for the entire ABF organisation. The assignment is estimated to be worth SEK 2 million (EUR 217,317). The portal contains an: - External Web for the public - Extranet for member organisations, study group leaders, and board members - Intranet for ABF employees. The portal creates new opportunities for communication and information exchanges by being a natural point of contact for the public, member organisations, and ABF employees. The portal will be developed to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium's accessibility guidelines - to facilitate ease of use for handicapped users. "We're delighted that we can offer better service to groups such as the physically disabled," says Klara Sjöström, project manager at ABF. "This was our most important objective. The portal will make it easier for the public to find out about our events and education offerings."
