Cybercom and Sony Ericsson signed a contract that extends Cybercom’s responsibilities for application management of all external Sony Ericsson web sites and accompanying functionality. The contract runs to 31 December 2010.

Since 2002, Cybercom has been responsible for applications within various parts of Sony Ericsson web sites. Since 2006, its responsibility increased to include structured offshore deliveries from Cybercom’s operation in India – ensuring fast deliveries, cost efficiency, quality, development and 24/7 support. Now, an extended agreement has been signed for two more years.

“We're delighted and proud that Sony Ericsson demonstrated this show of trust. Global sourcing is increasingly becoming a key component in our deliveries to Sony Ericsson. That’s why this stamp of approval is extra valuable,” says Jesper Carlgren, global account manager for Sony Ericsson, Cybercom Group.”

“The support of our applications become increasingly important as our business develops into being more interactive with our customers”, says Peter Nilsson, CIO at Sony Ericsson. “The Sony Ericsson application portal is a very important marketing channel. We chose Cybercom because we have very good experience working with them over the past years.”

“This assignment is a key deal for Cybercom,” says Patrik Boman, president and CEO, Cybercom Group. “Our strategy is to work in close partnership with customers to build long-term relations and stability in our business, while contributing long-term added-value for customers. Sony Ericsson’s renewed show of trust, as well as expanded responsibilities, demonstrates that we’ve succeeded. Our staff’s extensive knowledge and impressive ambition played a key role in this, and I’m proud about it.”
