Cybercom wins more business in USA

Cybercom signed a contract with an international company in the US for Qt development in the home entertainment sector. The project will be undertaken by Cybercom's operations in China.

Cybercom will develop high definition products for the home entertainment sector. The assignment is done according to Cybercom’s global sourcing business model and development will be located in Cybercom’s operations in Chengdu, China. The assignment will involve about 5-10 consultants to start with. The customer is an international company. “We are very glad for winning a new deal in USA already. Once again, we note a high demand for our expertise and global sourcing business model," says Patrik Boman, president and CEO of Cybercom. “This is an important assignment for us, with possibilities to expansion. We see many great opportunities ahead.” Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework (User Interface). Using Qt, applications can be deployed across many desktop and embedded operating systems without rewriting the source code. Cybercom is a partner with Qt Software, which is part of Nokia. “Cybercom has several ongoing assignments in the Qt development area. Telecommunication manufacturers, industrial- and automotive companies in Finland, Sweden and USA has started co-operation with Cybercom in this rapidly growing area”, says Pertti Hannelin, director, Cybercom Plenware.
