Cybercom’s Stockholm operation is launching a new business area to strengthen Cybercom’s global sourcing proposition. Mats Frisk joins as division manager and secures an important first assignment for 2009.

Mats Frisk is starting the division together with a group that includes eleven of his previous colleagues. At first, the team will manage a project for one of Cybercom’s major customers to improve cost effectiveness while maintaining high quality. The project includes responsibility, purchasing, and management of deliveries for the customer’s internal and external web solutions and the associated systems. The business area employs 55 consultants in Stockholm today.

“As a customer, I’ve cooperated closely with Cybercom for several years,” says Mats Frisk. “We have successfully completed several projects together that utilised the advantages of global sourcing. Now we’re building an organisation within Cybercom to proactively offer attractive, cost-effective, locally and globally delivered solutions to international companies.”

Frisk has held various management positions within Sony Ericsson, in marketing and IT, which are linked to Sony Ericsson’s internet operations. During 2005–2008, Frisk was manager of Sony Ericsson’s internet competence center unit. He started as an entrepreneur in the IT sector in the early 1990s, and has also held various leadership roles in companies such as Sandvik and Ericsson.

“I warmly welcome Mats and our new colleagues," says Anders Franzén, managing director, Cybercom Sweden East AB. “They bring valuable experience. The business area and this project are important steps in Cybercom’s strategy for developing its global sourcing business. Together with our Asian operations, we can offer a smooth transition for whole or parts of projects to low-cost countries, which is in line with the customer’s savings programmes.”
