Petteri Puhakka new Managing Director in Finland

Cybercom Group appoints Petteri Puhakka as managing director for Cybercom Finland. Puhakka was most recently at Tieto Oyj.

“Cybercom has an impressive track record within security, internet- and mobile services as well as embedded systems and telecom management, which has given us a dominant role within Telecom, Industry and Media. I am impressed by the people I have met in Cybercom and feel confident that we can expand further. Not only within our existing customer base, I also see a large potential for our services in the Public sector in which I’ve been working for many years,” says Petteri Puhakka. Petteri Puhakka is 48 years old and has held different senior executive roles within the IT-sector since the mid-eighties, in consultancy companies such as Tieto and Cap Gemini. Most recently he was head of Business Development in Healthcare and Welfare globally in Tieto. Before that, Petteri was manager and senior vice president for Tieto’s Government business unit in the Nordics. In addition, he has managed major outsourcing and global souring businesses. Petteri assumes his role as managing director at Cybercom Finland on 5 June 2010. “I’m very excited to welcome Petteri to Cybercom. Our business in Finland is growing again and demand for our services is increasing, especially in the Helsinki area. We have a stronghold in the telecoms, industry and media segments, and now we will enhance our sales to broaden our customer base, especially within the public sector to which Petteri can contribute with his many years of experience” says Patrik Boman, President and CEO Cybercom Group. Petteri Puhakka will replace Keimo Kaunisto, who has been acting CEO this spring. Keimo will resume his role as manager for the growing Embedded system business area. Cybercom’s operation in Finland is established in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and Hyvinkää with about 350 employees.
