Report this content

Through an internal transaction between two of Nordstjernan’s wholly owned companies KMT Precision Grinding will become part of Dacke Industri. The purpose of the transaction is to make Nordstjernan’s structure more effective and to develop Dacke Industri. Closing of the transaction will take place early 2017.

KMT Precision Grinding sell, design and manufacture advanced high-precision grinding machines and provide aftermarket services under the brands UVA and LIDKÖPING. The company has sales of 450 MSEK, 165 employees and is owned by Nordstjernan since 2007.

PMC Group was acquired by Nordstjernan in January 2016 and has since been restructured into a decentralized group of technology companies with a new holding company named Dacke Industri.

Dacke Industri has, before the current transaction, four operative subsidiaries with a combined sales of 1,6 bn SEK and approximately 800 employees. The subsidiaries focus on design and manufacturing of customer specific components and systems based on hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical technologies. Customers are predominately international OEM-customers. Dacke Industri has a clear strategy for growth, both organically and through acquisitions of strong technology leading companies.

Tomas Billing, CEO of Nordstjernan, says:

"Nordstjernan is an active owner in large as well as small companies. Through Dacke Industri we have created an effective and good way of owning small technology companies such as KMT Precision Grinding. Dacke Industri has the capacity to develop more companies and will continue to look for acquisitions.”
